Farsi speaking therapist in London and across the UK: online therapy in Persian, on London time
London has Persian-speaking therapists, but finding one with a free slot and a fee you can keep paying every week is another matter, and outside London it is harder still. Tajrobeh has a therapist who lives in the UK, plus 150+ vetted therapists whose hours we translate into yours. The introductory session is free; after that each session is €25 to €35 (approx. £21 to £29).
What it really means: A tightening of the heart; for a person, a smell, a street. Not only for home.
Some things can only be said in Persian. A Persian-speaking therapist hears exactly those.
What makes life in the UK hard, and why language matters
These are the things Iranians in the UK tell us in the introductory session. None of them is an illness; they are pressures that need to be heard in your own language.
NHS Talking Therapies are free, but there is usually a wait, the number of sessions is limited and everything happens in English. Private therapy in London is expensive, and Persian-speaking therapists with space are few.
Visa renewals, the long road to settlement, rent that rises every year. A life you always have to keep calculating leaves little room to breathe.
Everyone is polite and nobody is close. The distance between “how are you?” and a real friendship is long here, and for someone from a warmer culture it can feel cold.
A therapist who lives in the UK herself
Fatemeh Baberi is a Tajrobeh therapist based in the UK. She works with analytic psychotherapy, Lacanian and classical psychoanalysis, and knows the rhythm of life here first hand. If her hours or approach do not suit you, we introduce someone from our 150+ vetted therapists whose working hours match London time.
Fatemeh BaberiAnalytic psychotherapy, Lacanian and classical psychoanalysisSessions on London time, not Tehran time
London is 2.5 hours behind Tehran in summer (BST) and 3.5 hours behind in winter (GMT); Iran no longer changes its clocks. That means Iran-based therapists are working through your morning, afternoon and early evening.
No time difference at all. You agree a regular hour that fits around your work or studies.
Their usual working window of 9:00 to 22:00 Tehran time is roughly 5:30 to 18:30 in London in winter, and 6:30 to 19:30 in summer.
Clients join from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol and Nottingham. Sessions are online, so your city does not matter.
Live somewhere else, or prefer Persian?
The same service, described for other countries and languages.

We message you the same day
We ask what is going on and which hours suit you, then suggest a few therapists closest to your situation and your time zone.

Free introductory session
With the therapist themselves, not reception. Short, and meant for you to see whether you feel comfortable with them. If not, we introduce someone else.

Continue, in your own hours
Sessions are scheduled in your local time and each one is paid in euros with your own card.
Persian-speaking therapy in the UK: €25 to €35 per session
Prices are fixed in euros and do not change with your country. In pounds that is approx. £21 to £29 per session at today’s rate; your card converts it at the moment of payment. The introductory session is free and you pay nothing before it.
Tajrobeh’s student support programme, approx. £21. Just tick “I am a student” in the form; we do not ask for complicated paperwork.
Individual session, approx. £29. No contract and no minimum number of sessions; each session is paid separately.
Tajrobeh is not part of the NHS, and most UK private insurers only reimburse practitioners registered with UK professional bodies, so please do not count on reimbursement. You receive an official receipt in euros for every session.
Leave your WhatsApp number; we take it from there

What Iranians in the UK ask before they start
How do I find a Farsi speaking therapist in London?
Leave your number in the form on this page. Tajrobeh reception messages you the same day, asks what is going on and which hours suit you, and introduces a few Persian-speaking therapists, including our therapist based in the UK. The introductory session with the therapist is free.
How much does it cost in pounds?
The price is fixed in euros: €25 for students and €35 for everyone else, which is approx. £21 to £29 at today’s rate. You pay with a UK card via Stripe or PayPal and the pound amount is calculated at the moment of payment.
Can I stay on an NHS waiting list at the same time?
Yes, and many clients do. Tajrobeh does not replace the NHS; it means your therapy in Persian has already started while you wait.
What is the time difference with my therapist?
With our therapist based in the UK, none. Therapists in Iran are 2.5 hours ahead of you in summer and 3.5 hours in winter, so their working hours cover your morning to early evening.
Is the session in Persian or English?
Sessions are in Persian. If you would like part of the conversation in English, write it in the form and we will introduce a therapist who is comfortable with that.
What is this service not?
It is not an emergency or crisis service and it is not part of the NHS. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, call 999, contact NHS 111, or call Samaritans free on 116 123 at any time.

You do not need to know what the problem is yet
That is exactly what the introductory session is for: a short conversation with a therapist who understands your language, free and with no obligation. If it fits, you continue; if not, you have lost nothing.
