Persian speaking therapist in Canada: online therapy in Farsi for Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal
From North York to North Vancouver, many Iranians in Canada know how expensive private therapy is here, and how long the waiting list for a Persian-speaking therapist can be. Tajrobeh introduces a Persian-speaking therapist whose hours fit your time zone. The introductory session is free; after that each session is €25 to €35 (approx. CA$40 to CA$55).
What it really means: A tightening of the heart; for a person, a smell, a street. Not only for home.
Some things can only be said in Persian. A Persian-speaking therapist hears exactly those.
What makes life in Canada hard, and why language matters
These are the things Iranians in Canada tell us in the introductory session. None of them is an illness; they are pressures that need to be heard in your own language.
Six months of cold and early darkness, especially in the first years, pulls the mood down and makes going out and seeing people harder. Isolation here has a name everyone knows.
The doctor or engineer you were for years has to prove it all over again. Working below your ability while you wait for the real start slowly wears down your self-esteem.
The time difference with Iran is too large to talk every evening. News of a parent’s illness arrives from far away and there is little you can do; that guilt is something many of our clients carry.
Persian-speaking therapists, matched to your hours
Tajrobeh does not have a therapist living in Canada. Most of our clients in Canada see a therapist based in Iran, whose evening is your morning; two of our therapists live in Europe. Reception tells you which of our 150+ vetted therapists is closest to your situation and your time zone.

Iran no longer changes its clocks, so the gap with Canada shifts when your clocks change. Your session time is always given in your own city’s time.
7.5 hours behind Tehran in summer, 8.5 in winter. The usual 9:00 to 22:00 working window of Iran-based therapists is roughly 1:30 to 14:30 your time in summer, so mornings and lunchtimes work best.
9.5 hours behind Tehran in summer, 10.5 in winter. Early mornings, before work, are the easiest hours to find.
10.5 hours behind Tehran in summer, 11.5 in winter. Early mornings, or a late evening slot on the day before, overlap with the therapist’s day.

What Iranians in Canada ask before they start
How do I find a Persian speaking therapist in Toronto or Vancouver?
Leave your number in the form on this page. Tajrobeh reception messages you the same day, asks what is going on, which city you are in and which hours suit you, and introduces a few Persian-speaking therapists. The introductory session with the therapist is free.
How much does it cost in Canadian dollars?
The price is fixed in euros: €25 for students and €35 for everyone else, which is approx. CA$40 to CA$55 at today’s rate. You pay with a Canadian card via Stripe or PayPal and the dollar amount is calculated at the moment of payment.
Will my provincial plan or employer benefits pay for it?
Usually not, because they reimburse only practitioners registered in your province. You receive an official receipt for every session in case your plan makes an exception.
How do the time zones work?
On the East Coast your morning and lunchtime overlap with the afternoon and evening of therapists in Iran. In Vancouver, early mornings work best. The session time is always given in your own city’s time.
I live in Montreal and my daily life is in French. Does that matter?
No. Sessions are in Persian, and for many clients in Quebec, whose days move between French and English, that is exactly the rest they need.
What is this service not?
It is not an emergency or crisis service and it does not replace care from a clinician registered in your province. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, call 911 or the Suicide Crisis Helpline on 988, by phone or text, at any time.

You do not need to know what the problem is yet
That is exactly what the introductory session is for: a short conversation with a therapist who understands your language, free and with no obligation. If it fits, you continue; if not, you have lost nothing.
